Is this program for players of all ages/levels?


This program is designed for any Hockey Player who’s serious about taking their game to the next level. Because exercises are requires basic equipment (bands, boxes/chairs, light weight) age isn't a limitation for this program. Saying that, workouts are intense and have been built for players who want to push themselves. Whether you're in Bantam or a 4th year pro - if you bring intensity to these workouts you'll get better.




What do workouts look like?


Each workout includes: - Movement Preparation: the mobility exercises that pay the most divdends for repairing the hockey player's body. - Athleticism Drills: footwork, agility, and plyometric drills designed to utilize minimal space (can be done at home) while still maximizing the athleticism elements that translate to on ice power. - Strength/Power: exercises that develop functional strength and power, some exercises could be loaded with a weight - but workouts have been designed to challenge these elements with just your body. - Core/Conditioning/Mobility: finish with either a HIIT circuit ( designed for minimal space), extra core-focused circuit, or additional mobility exercises.




What makes this program "hockey specific?"


Admittedly, this would be a killer program for any athlete. The focus on strength, power, core strength, and mobility is essential for all athletes - but we've taken this to next level by choosing exercise that are most valuable specifically for hockey players - focusing on unilateral strength and developing the strength/power we know translates to the ice.




What Equipment do I need for workouts?


We've design workouts based on having a "basic home setup" with tools that most athlete have available.

  • Bands - we recommend a classic " red band" but this can any sort of band you have available that have medium resistence.
  • Mini- Bands - These are used in a number of our activation exercises. While we typically recommend "blue" tension for Hockey Players, this can be any type/brand.
  • Sliders - We have a number of exercises that utilize sliders & it's one of our favourite pieces of at-home equipment. These can be found on amazon for a reasonable price, but if you don't have them ahead of time, socks/towel on a hard floor or plastic bag on carpet works.
  • Weight - While our exercises demos will use KBs and DBs ( no barbells needed) this could be either option OR any sort of alternative load that you can use for resistence.
For many exercises, we've provided alternative exercises in case you don't have access to these tools. If you have absolutely no equipment, you can find our body weight only program here.
