The Best Core Exercises for Hockey Players

Core is king for hockey players.

If hockey players want to put in extra work, we almost recommend they spend time on core and mobility. While placing an emphasis on mobility pays huge dividends for players to stay healthy and maintain efficient movement mechanics -  getting in extra core-related work is something that translates to every element of a players game.

Whether it's shooting harder, engaging contact to get better positions in front of the net or in the corner, or just playing stronger and more confident on the puck - elite core strength is essential for hockey players who want to take their game to the next level.

Despite the importance of core strength for hockey players, we still see players using low value ab exercises like sit-ups or Russian twists - that do little to develop true core strength.

In this video, we explore some of the "must do" core exercises for hockey players!
